The simulation results displayed on this website are provided for informational and illustrative purposes only. They do not constitute engineering advice, technical design, guaranteed performance, financial or investment advice, or any other professional recommendation.

All outputs are generated from (i) the data uploaded by the user and (ii) simplified modelling assumptions. Actual performance of photovoltaic, wind, and battery energy storage systems can vary materially due to site conditions, equipment characteristics, degradation, grid constraints, dispatch limitations, market conditions, regulatory changes, permitting outcomes, curtailment, outages, and other technical, environmental, operational, and financial factors not captured by this tool.

You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use these results. No warranties or representations, express or implied, are made regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the simulations or any content on this website.

Prices are the key input.

In any hybridization analysis, the most important—and most uncertain—factor is the electricity price outlook. If you don't have a credible price scenario, this tool becomes mainly a playground for learning and comparison. You can still compare configurations, sensitivities, and relative impacts, but you should not treat the outputs as expected real-world results.

Intentionally simple by design.

More sophisticated models exist, but they are typically far more expensive and/or much more complex to use. FrikiEnergy is built to be fast, intuitive, and accessible, so you can explore ideas without a heavy modelling process. The current scope focuses on energy arbitrage only. Ancillary services (e.g., frequency response, secondary regulation, reserves, capacity markets) are not included, so results represent a conservative base case. Where revenue stacking is feasible, additional revenue streams may be available.

“If it's not perfectly accurate, what's the point?”

The point is speed and insight: a quick, high-level view of how hybridization could behave for your asset. Use it as a sandbox to test ideas, compare options, and understand the main drivers—before moving to more detailed analysis, engineering and financial studies. For projects requiring detailed bankable analysis, we can connect you with specialized consultants where appropriate. And when you provide high-quality inputs (especially realistic price assumptions), the results can be quite reasonable for early-stage screening and decision support.
